Besides electricity, Covington offers natural gas at very competitive rates to customers throughout much of Newton County. Covington owns its own gas distribution system and purchases gas wholesale from the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia (MGAG).

Covington's water system is ran from Cornish Creek Water Plant.
